How did I participate and contribute to our team whare?

I participated by making the walls along with other members of my team.
I also wrote down what was physical well being.

How did I cope with team challenges and how did I relate to others?

One thing that was hard for me was, talking to my other teammates as I had not really talked to them.
I related to them by, trying to talk to each other as it was hard for us to communicate.

Well, the whare turned out really well although it was awkward we all manage to complete it.

Social studies- Migration

What is migration?

Migration is moving from one place to another. To you it could mean, starting a new life, moving for a job or getting closer to your family.

My Family Traditions

Family reunions:
At family reunions, we play a type of sport. touch, netball etc.
We eat food like Hangi, Hangi is a traditional Maori food.

Birthdays
GIving Gifts- Getty them the things they like
Food- Things they like to eat.

21st birthday
Drinking- That's for the adults only and the birthday person
Eating- A big feed of different types of food.
Speeches- Family talking about the birthday person
Gifts-Family giving then gifts, like money ect

This year for drama my class (9AK) and 9BU have to perform a musical number in front of the year 9,8 and 7. The number we are performing is Revolting children, form the musical Matilda.

Observations of a burning candle.

   My Observations

• The heat from the flame melts the wax below
• You can see through the melted wax
• The tip of the wick has a red glow
• The wax is melting
• It turns from a solid to a liquid
• The flame is orange
• The wick is turning black
• The flame is a raindrop shape
• The flame is not touching the wax
• The flame only touches the wick
• There is no smoke
• It moves with movement in the air
• The flame has a little bit of blue

Length of middle bench =   5.33   m

My measurement was   61   cm

5. Voltage of the battery using a digital multimeter

My measurement was    1.57   V

6. Measuring the temperature of water with a thermometer

Water from the cold tap: Temperature =   29   C

Water from the hot tap: Temperature =   60   C

Science 2018 Nia Brown Hepi

This year in science I want to learn, How to use the equipment properly, some fun experiments, working as a team with others in my class and gathering information.  I also want to learn the understanding role of science played in our society.
