You will find my infographic here-----> My work

Reflection:

For the past few weeks in math class, we have been learning about percentages, decimals and fractions. When we first started to learn about it, I must admit I was a bit confused, as I didn't have much knowledge of what these were. The more and more work and teaching I got, the easier it was for me to understand. Some of the challenges I had were, finding a way to solve the problem of some equations, trying to get a percentage and a decimal out if a fraction and most of all working it out without using a calculator. It took me a few weeks to learn what all three were, but after a bit of hard work, I got the understanding of all three. My group and I worked really hard on our infographic, on this site called venngaeg. I really enjoyed making it with my group. Personally, it was a bit challenging but we were very successful. Venngage help me digitally display what I had been learning.

Source

The source my group am I use was  Venngage I recommend this site if you are looking for a great way to showcase your work.

My group and I gathered our information from Maths is fun I recommend this site for anyone who is stuck on what something is. It not only tells you what they are, it tells you how to work them out.

Question

Thanks for reading. Do you think venngaeg was the best way to showcase my learning?

Strategies for being assertive

Strategies for being assertive

Assertive is being able, to tell the truth. Some examples of an assertive act are suggesting, being direct, and putting forward.

Knowing your priorities- Respecting my self and others. Doing well at school, making sure I complete the work and try my best.

Eye contact- Look at the person you are talking to, look at their forehead or nose if you feel like it is Arcward between you to.

Body language- Having posture, have a straight back, the way you are moving or acting around them. Don't speak like you are in an aggressive mood.

'I' statement- How to think about yourself and either feeling towards each other. Telling the truth.

FIltering muddy water

So in science, we had to get into a group of 6 and work together to filter a dirty cup of muddy water, to clean drinking water.

The equipment we used for this was:
3funnels
A cloth
2 pieces of filter paper
a clamp
a boss
and a cup of dirty water

My group an I had to use all this equipment to try and filter a dirty cup of water. It was a bit of a challenge as our group was not too sure on how to set it up for it to work the best. After a few attempts, we figured out the best method that would work for us to make our experiment successful. It turned out really well, our water becomes cleaner than before. For this to work out we had to have a lot of patients, as the water drip through the filter paper drip by drip. Overall it turned out really well, our team was very successful. Although it was was clean we did not drink it, as we did not know what was in the beaker before we used them.

Te Whare tapawha

How did I participate and contribute to our team whare?

I participated by making the walls along with other members of my team.
I also wrote down what was physical well being.

How did I cope with team challenges and how did I relate to others?

One thing that was hard for me was, talking to my other teammates as I had not really talked to them.
I related to them by, trying to talk to each other as it was hard for us to communicate.

Well, the whare turned out really well although it was awkward we all manage to complete it.
