(Week 3) LO: To paint a whakaahua on a kowhatu with attention to detail and care.

week we pained on our 4 rocks, we drew our design on first and then we started to paint. The colours we used were red, black, green and white. We also used different size paint brush to paint on our rocks.  When we were painting our rocks we had to make sure we were focused, had a steady hand, Breathing, attention, and making sure we didn't have a lot of paint on the paintbrush.

The first time I painted it was hard cause I was not used to painting with a small paintbrush,  but the longer I used it the better I got.  The second time I used it was much easier cause I got used to it.

LO: To draw a whakaahua for Kowhatu Toi

This week we aimed to get most of our drawing patterns done in our Kowhatu Toi workbook. We also aimed to get 1 coat of primer paint over our three rocks.

On Monday we learned about what symbols mean and represent. The first pattern we did was the koru, what we had to do is sketch four pictures of the koru. On Wednesday we did other patterns and we talked about what they represented. We also painted one side of our rock with a coat of white paint. On Thursday we painted the other side of the rock and we also did some more of our Kowhatu Toi workbook.

Please leave me a positive, thoughtful, helpful comment to help me move forward with my learning.
